Nope, dmesg in FreeBSD reports 3.6 GHz even if I set the FSB to 400 with a (lowered) 8x multiplier. Definitely a BIOS bug. If I set it to 7x with a 457 FSB (to hit 3.2 GHz), it shows 4.113 GHz. So it's not just reporting it incorrectly. Anyone else having this problem?

Ok, so it's just mis-reporting it? I run FreeBSD, so I don't have anything like CPU-Z to report the actual system configuration. Although I suppose I could try running it in WINE lol :)

I just bought a Q6600 to plug into my P5B. Prior to doing so, I upgraded the BIOS to the latest revision. My problem is, I can't LOWER the multiplier. It's stuck at 9x. I want to run at 8x400, but if I set the FSB to 400, it boots at 3.6 GHz, despite the 8x multiplier being set. This used to...
