Update:
As I don't need to run the latest 3D games, I picked up a PNY Geforce 2 7300GS. Comes with DVI, VGA and S-Video Outputs (and includes a component video adaptor and DVI to VGA adapter). Set up quickly, running a 19" LCD and a 17"CRT with no problems. Very cool, indeed! Thanks for the...
Newbie to the world of pci-e. Wondering whether all pci-e video cards that have two outputs (e.g., VGA/D-sub and DVI) are capable of running dual monitor support. The guy at CompUSA said the box specifically had to state "dual monitor support."

No power connector needed (other than the power from the PCI slot). I just opened the installation manual and confirmed this. There is no mention of plugging in any power connectors. You just install it in a PCI slot and you're good to go.
They're not all gone yet! I just picked one up at one of my local Circuit City (we have 3 in town). It was the last one they had. However, one of the other stores told me it's expecting two more in tomorrow. Don't give up on this deal yet. $19.99 for a firewire card, a DV cable and editing...
Yep, pulled from Gateway's website. As in, you can't get this deal anymore. In fact, anybody who didn't order by 8/10/02 got their orders canceled (per a gateway CSR). Those of you lucky enough to have gotten your drives still qualify for the rebate, but for the rest of us, this deal is a goner...
