Thanks that worked like a champ

I just got my sli board back from ASUS and installed windows xp without any problems . The HDD is a SATA drive I install my older IDE HDD's my system would reboot after several min.'s Anybody have any ideas why or what could be doing this ??

i didn't see if you had replaced both the motherboard and cpu at the same time , I guess if one is shorted it could kill the other or fault psu could have kill one and ......... Just and idea ive seen stranger things happen

how many memory sticks are you using 1 or 2 ?? which slots are they in a1 and b1 or a1 a2 or a2 and b1 ect.... I had this problem and it was silly error i had put the memory in the wrong slots

don't listen to the negative remarks. get a lawyer the lawyer will get them to cover the rental car, i had them same thing happen and the laywer got me a rental SUV because i hurt to much to get into a car. also the more damage to your car the more money you can get from them. And f=ck...

I think the Windows xp ide drivers

Question I have installed windows xp pro with sp2. I have one sata drive and two ide drives , bios show all 3 drive but windows only shows the sata drive ( it showed all 3 at first but since the first reboot they are gone , ive check all connections ?) not the ide drives. Also windows takes...

thats a fast boot mine take up to 5 min. to boot have any ideas ??
