Actually, to be honest, I don't believe my current motherboard supports PCI Express 2.0. A google search didn't turn up anything helpful. Does anyone here possibly know if my current mobo would support a new 4850?
That could be it. I've got everything set on medium with no AA or other fun stuff, and it's only running 800*600. If I just settled for a 4850 (currently eying this Sapphire) I would obviously be CPU bottlenecked, but I just figured I wouldn't notice any real appreciable gains because the rest...
Well, since I have no intention of getting rid of my CRT in the near future I run games (when possible, which hasn't been lately) at a goal of 1600 x 1200.
I'm not a crazy overclocker (though I do do it where I'm able), so it would only be on air and with the knowledge that my case doesn't...
Hi fellas! I've been getting the itch to upgrade to a sweet C2D system for, well, the past 2 years, but now I think the prices are right to pull the trigger. The last straw was playing Fallout 3 on medium and noticing that the draw distance was utterly hideous, with enemies getting the drop on...
Heh, well, I could pm you if opened up your profile. The one caveat is that I don't have the 4000+ in my possession at the second- it's at my parent's house (it was a Christmas present), though supposedly my Dad sent it to me in the mail on Monday. I'm not comfortable selling stuff I don't have...
As the subject states, I'm looking to soon sell off two of my 939 processors. The sandy 4000+ athlon64 is brand new, oem, and does not include a HSF. The venice 3000+ includes a HSF, and both chip and HSF have been used gently (no overclock) for the last year. I just upgraded to an opteron 170...
It seems to be a matter of taste. I think almost everybody would be satisfied with a full priority test in orthos run successfully for 24 hours. Any amount of time less than that, and it seems everybody's got an opinion, and they're all different!
