yes...In fact, I used WD's software to set the drive to "up to" ATA66. The boot screen shows the drive correctly as ATA66...I even tried ATA33, but was getting the same blow-ups. The drive worked fine on my other system, a Celery 300A @ 450. Installed win98se just fine.

I've been unable to install win98 without registry errors. It's not the RAM (swapped in a different stick), not the video card-ASUS GFORCE2 MX (tried it out in my own machine, swapped in two others), and it's not the HD (swapped it into my machine -[300A oc'd 450] and ran the win98 install w/out...
