    Building new gaming PC

Thanks again for the quick replies guys! About the noise issue, it seems that for every person saying the GT is quiet, there's one saying it's too noisy. I had a bad experience in the past so I think i'm gonna play it safe and go with the GTS. As for Vista, the more I think about it, the...

Thanks for the advices guys! I changed the video card for a 512MB GTS since i want to make sure that noise won't be an issue. I also changed the OCZ memory for Corsair. At the moment, would I see a big improvement by going from to 2GB to 4GB? Any other advices/comments?

My soon to be new computer, do you think it's good?

Another thing that worry me is the noise of this future computer. Can someone tell me which components could be a problem on that level. I know that the fan on the video card and the one on the motherboard are a little bit loud. I could buy new fans but I don't like the fact of loosing my...

My soon to be new computer, do you think it's good?

OK I think I will finally go with an nforce4 motherboard. So far I've counted five recommendations for DFI, two for MSI and zero for Asus. Since my priorities are more about stability and my pc being quiet and not so much about overclockability, do you guys think I should still choose DFI...

All very good advices... thanks! Do you guys see a problem if I decide to buy the Asus A8V-E (K8T890) ? As I said, I don't mind if it's not the best at overclocking, I don't need SATA II and I don't care for a built-in firewall. I want stability and compatibility with the other components...

You guys are great, thanks a lot for the advices! I will go for the SATA HD since I really like the idea of having small cables. I will also go for the 3200+ since you guys tell me it will overclock easily. Will the ram be good for overclocking? About the MB, the choice seems to...

My soon to be new computer, do you think it's good?

Hi! I once thought of going the S734-AGP route but now i've finally decided that it would be better to go for S939-PCIE since the price are lower than I expected. Here's what i'm thinking of buying : CPU : AMD ATHLON 64 3500+ ***Changed to 3200+*** MB : I want an Nforce4 board without...

Will this computer be good for at least 2 years?

Well there is clearly a division on the S754 vs S939 issue. I think each side have good arguments but all the advantages of the S939 seem to relate to upgradability and all the advantages of the S754 relate to the cost. Since I don't want to upgrade (I know i'm repeating myself!) I think S754...
