So for the past year I have not been using a Windows password on my personal PC. Recently I decided to change that. However, it seems that right after I did that it caused Windows to take an extra 10-20 seconds to load.
Is this normal?
Well I just finished a two-page paper in Calibri, and I must admit, it looks... different. I think educationally I'll stick with TNR - looks more professional. I'll start using Calibri for personal things thought like email.
So now that Word 07 is becoming the norm, is it now acceptable to use the 11-point Calibri in the professional world, or keep using 12-point Times New Roman? For education? Work?
Thoughts?
I'd really recommend trying a hard drive first before a board; to me it really sounds like a hdd failure in some way, shape, or form. Hard drives can fail in multiple ways, and SMART is really not the best indicator of a hdd failure. You mentioned it clicked a couple times... so yea... go for...
Sounds like to me it was a shorting issue - once you tilted it back, two (somethings) made contact and caused it to power down. A loose screw or metal piece inside the notebook usually is the culprit. Sounds like as you disassembled it you got rid of whatever was causing the short.
So I know...
Most likely.
Do you have all the power cords you need going to it? I think that card requires 2 x6's (12 pins total). Also, if you have a multimeter, test for voltages and see if that's the problem.
