You can try that excuse, but I doubt it will work anywhere. The ram is technically working... The difference in speed doesn't seem to be noticeable for me though. I'm thinking about getting some faster ram, but new snowboard gear is higher up on my priorities. I'm guessing you don't have extra...

Ryan, looks like you have the same setup I do. It's your ram. Go in to the settings and select the ratio that makes your ram 666 mhz (or something like that) to guarantee that it's stable. Read the past conversations on the last two pages if you need more help. Best of luck

DarkMattr..... thanks for the suggestion! I already gave it a shot last night and it worked! I had to drop my speed down to 666.something and it's rock solid now. I can leave my computer on all night without a freeze. Someone else suggested a timing issue, but I hadn't tried it until now. So...

Mad Murph, My ram speed is at 800 mhz and 5-5-5 31 timings (all auto settings in bios) I tried speeding up the 31 setting, which seemed really slow to me, but it didn't help. I've got the C6400 ram... but I'm holding out hope for it. My new power supply arrives tomorrow, I'll be back with...

MadMurph... Thanks for the suggestion, but I actually had this ram in my board some time before I bought the E6750. I was building my system in pieces, and the CPU was one thing I let slide for a while. As I added more and more, everything was great, but the C2duo started causing random freezes...

I've got 0608 for my bios and I did clear the CMOS... but as for the board revision, I'm not sure about that. I have my ram sticks arranged by color slots (tried both black and yellow) and Memtest still passes. I think the only thing left is my power supply... which I just ordered a new corsair...

I'm having a horrible time with mine. I just got a replacement C2D 6750 in the mail and the system with the new chip is acting up just as much as with the old one. I've got two sticks of Corsair 1gb PC 6400 ram, and memtest has completed one pass. I've tested everything from ram to hard drives...

Other than jealousy, there shouldn't be any reason at all that you would have issues. One suggestion though, save your time on trying to get a high overclock on your ram and enjoy! By the way, I'm interested to see what kind of benchmarks you get with your setup- I'm getting the 6750 and...

I Also have flashed my BIOS in windows! You guys rock! For a while, I was getting scared that I would have to buy another board to run my new chip. Now the fun begins.....:D By the way, if anyone is interested in seeing some benchmarks and/or overclocking results on the new 1333 bus...

Thanks for the quick reply! I actually flashed my bios before with a USB drive and EZ flash 2 during post by hitting "alt f2" but no deals this time with 0608. I'm sure I have the right bios file, I've got the page bookmarked and I check it compulsively:D Bootable cds? hmmmm I tried to...

Hey everybody, good to see this forum is still going! I've been watching for a while but haven't kept up lately. Now I'm back because I've got a problem.... I keep getting the "downgraded bios is not suitable" message every time I use EZ Flash with 0608 bios..... What is the deal with this...
