Here's a vote for Python. It's very easy to learn, and the fact that it is interpreted might make it easier for a beginner to debug (and tinker with).

Just a general comment about the camera (I got it about a month ago). Pictures are very good and it is quite easy to use. I haven't been to impressed with the bundled software, it seems kind of clunky and made for inexperienced users. I wish the response time of the camera was a little...
Thanks for the opinion everyone. I think that I may go with the A70 after all. You can get it for around $280 at Dell right now with a little help from my friend Ben and his bargains.
Rossman,
Looking at the comparison it seems that they are pretty equivalent in most of the basic features. I don't know a whole lot about aperture sizes, focal lengths and some of the more advanced features ... but they again seem fairly similar. Is this the same impression that you get from...
I am considering a similar decision myself. I am looking at getting a 3 megapixel camera for around $300. I was originally thinking that I would get a canon A70, but after checking out the cameras at best buy am I leaning more towards the Nikon 3100. Any thoughts or suggestions? It seems...
When you are using your monitor with your computer, the VB50HRTV just passes the signal from computer through without any changes. So you can still run higher resolutions on your monitor if you would like to. Some people say that this pass through degrades the signal, but I could hardly tell...
I have one of these for my monitor in my dorm room. It works quite nicely, and it was even able to descramble the university movie channel (free movies = good ...). The TV tuning is only decent (you just can't make a low-res tv signal look good on a high-res monitor), but it worked pretty well...
I actually had a fairly good experience with this retailer. I purchased some lighted fans from the xhour sale and two of them went bad (the LEDs began to stick out into the path of the fan, resulting in a terrible sound). I emailed Xoxide and they responded in about 48 hours that they were...
Yeah, I wondered why they didn't bundle in the live kit instead. That probably would have gotten me to take the bundle home with me. Oh well, more money left to spend on other goodies.
I was in the Best Buy today in Westwood, California. They had a shrink-wrapped bundle where you could buy Splinter Cell, Unreal Championship and MechAssualt and save $15. Combine this with one of the $5 off Best Buy coupons which were readily available (if still valid) and you can get all...
Also, it is not a problem if you want to change the number once they activate it. I just called in and T-mobile changed it to a Santa Monica number even though I was back home in Nor-Cal for the summer. Silly Verizon claimed that I could only have a nor-cal number, that I would have to change...
