    Remote access with no-ip

OK, I set up the vpn connection on my laptop and according to the article that automatically allows traffic on port 1723. After that, I checked with canyouseeme.org and got a successful response for port 1723. Now I just need to figure out how to change that port to 60000. Although it's not...

    Remote access with no-ip

I do know that I won't be able to access my network from home. I have tried it at school and have still been unsucessful. I am going to try it from my church on the way home today to make sure the school isn't somehow preventing my access. However, the site canyouseeme.org should work alright...

    Remote access with no-ip

I'm not trying to run a web server. I am just trying to make my computer accessible from anywhere. I have a server set up for educational purposes and I am experimenting with that. I was just trying out the software on my laptop before I installed it on the server. I have no problems with...

    Remote access with no-ip

I thought of that even though I don't have the vista firewall turned on. I allowed port 60000 in that as well but it didn't change anything. I still get a connection refused message.

    Remote access with no-ip

I changed the port to 60000 and I still have the same problem. The program -port detective- shows the port as open but canyouseeme.org still says connection timed out. To check the firewall on my laptop, I disabled it and the message changed from connection timed out to connection refused...

    Remote access with no-ip

As I am new to advanced networking, I was wondering if there are certain ports that I should use and others that I should stay away from. I have also tried port 3389 for Remote desktop and www.canyouseeme.org gives me a connection timed out error as well.

    Dell B130 Network Card Issue

You will need the chipset driver the the ethernet controller/network controller and possibly pci device. the video driver will obviously take care of the other. As suggested, search for the drivers by the service code rather than model number. I too, have never had any problems with getting...

    User Profiles in XP Pro

I have never worked with organizational units. Where can I learn more about how to configure them? I need a good starting point to begin learning how to do such things. I will probably set it up at home with two computers, (server, client) and try to different things from there. I have just...

    User Profiles in XP Pro

Well, after some further research, I believe I will need to start a server and put the computer on a domain. Then all users will be authenticated through the server and I should be able to create different users. This will allow me to log on to the local computer with full admin rights...

    User Profiles in XP Pro

In that case, would it be possible to create an account that would point to a profile on another computer that would allow me to have full access? I just want to be able to log on to the computer locally and have full access to everything without having to disable all the settings everytime...
