My budget is is around 800 the TV I am currently using is a Samsung 51 inch plasma I believe it is a f5300 the idea was to use this until best buy got another Panasonic in stock
But that was before i learned about the s60. With that being said i guess im back to square one. the one thing i...
yah i was scared someone was going to say the s60 was not being manufactured any longer. Well if that is the case and it isnt what would be my next best bet i guess it doesnt have to be a plasma though i was aiming for one
I recently had to return an open box S60 I was having issues with to Best Buy. However, they did not have another S60 or even an ST60 in stock to replace the S60.
To compensate for my time, they offered to sell me another S60 at the same price I purchased the open box for ($649) or an ST60...
@midway yah HDMI's work fine without the switch i also posted another thread in detail of the issues i was having

@cmdrdredd I don't consider myself a "Hardcore" gamer i do enjoy playing FPS...
I'm not gonna go into to much detail here but I am gonna try to explain the problem the best I can. My TV's are having issues with a connector and switch. I am getting Sound issues, artifacts, and noise.
Let me start off by saying both TV's work fine whenever you have HDMI cables from both...
ya i guess that is a good possibility unfortunately for myself i do not know much about the fine details of TV's i am just going off of what a friend was diagnosing after running test on it. When it comes to any issues electronically he know his stuff and had never steered me in the wrong...
i get what your saying, and no means am i trying to start a huge 4 page argument on this thread. But why does the switch and cables all work properly on another set but has issues with the panasonic. Im using the switch on the samsung i just bought and no issues so far.
So I bought an S60 a few weeks ago open box from best buy. TV was great, fell in love with the picture. Yesterday I received all new cables in the mail from monoprice including a 5 input switch this is when all my problems began.
I am not gonna go into details on everything that happened but...
yah i may go with that switch from monoprice i have ordered a couple things from them in the past (mostly cables) and it seems like not only do they have really good prices but there products are good quality.
Someone posted this switch on another forum i posted on.
Kinivo 501BN Premium 5...
I just purchased a S60 maybe 2 weeks ago so far i love this tv the only downside i have found is there isnt enough HDMI ports for me. I was thinking about purchasing a HDMI switch vs having to keep switching cables back and forth from one thing to another. I'm just hesitant to get a switch...
This is not the first time i have seen someone refer me to the S65 which im having trouble finding can someone link it up also does the "65" mean 65 inch if so that is wayyyy to big for my room.
true sdifox i did not think of that. Also i forgot the roku has a screensaver feature after 5 minutes of inactivity it will go to a black screen and the word roku moves around the screen which im assuming would be good for a plasma
Hey iRONic in reference to what you posted i am planning on going with the S60 not the ST60 which according to midways post on the AVS forums he says
From what im reading it seems like he was really happy with the S60 and traded it for the ST60 because he thought it would be better come to...
thanks for the advice on the screen flicker i am gonna be heading out to best buy in a bit to really look again at the sets.
This is kinda disappointing to read only because aside from streaming movies i will be gaming quite a bit.
The only other thing that is causing hesitation about...
