That kind of occurred to me as well. I think $40 isn't worth a pissed customer. But then I've had my own good experience with eVGA, so even hearing something like this...I'm still buying their products.
I agree completely. This is just an example of good customer service in one particular case. While it may or may not happen again, it's still a pretty cool thing they did when they didn't have to.
Maybe, but I did actually buy both cards from Newegg and registered them. Maybe eVGA has no problem with this. I would like to see if someone else can do this as well.
I can honestly say that because of this, I'll be buying eVGA video cards from now on.

See the thing is, he's actually a guy that other people go to in order to get tech support. If he built the thing himself (he's built other computers for himself, like 5 years ago) he's be able to troubleshoot it. He's just going through a mild period of retardation.
He also sucks at flying...
The problem is that he could get a much coooooooooooler desktop rig for $2300.
I say that he needs a desktop. He plays Bf2 exclusively. He will, in all likelyhood, play BF 2142.
His WIFE is getting a laptop, he needs a desktop. She would probably be happy with a Fisher Price learning...
How would you reply if this was YOUR friend?

"I'm going with a gaming laptop. I still have no money though. Look around and find me a GO 7900 gtx 512 meg video card for a laptop. If I can find one I'm going to go with the Inspiron E1705. It's the exact same laptop as...
Honestly, they do not like the Wiggles. Well, the 2 year old doesn't, but the 2 month old...well....hard to say what he likes.
Little Einsteins, Max and Ruby, Diego, Dora, Tellytubbies, Family Guy (oddly enough)...all stuff he likes.
I've got the DVD's, but everytime we start up the player, we have to go through the whole stupid preview process - you know...10 minutes of "Hey this is coming out next month!" stuff.
Any ideas on what software I can get to copy the actual cartoon to a blank DVD and kill the preview crap in...
I just went to a custom paint shop in the Omaha area that specializes (duh) in custom car jobs...flames, pinstriping and so on.
was quoted 100 for a desktop prep work...special chemical that bonds the paint to the computer chassis....and 200-300 for a mirrored finish in black (very sweet...
He mostly just plays EQ2, way too much in my opinion, but he's an adult.
He has already, on my recommendation, picked up a Gigabyte Aurora for the case. I like it, very much.
What we had in mind is figuring out a solution so he can play two EQ2 accounts at the same time, using both...
Yeah I don't understand this much either. I traded my 9 month old 7800 GTX, an ASUS A8V-E Deluxe Mobo that I had laying around and a PSU for a new 7900 GT so I could spend just an extra $300 and get SLI goodness instead of paying the rediculous price for a 7800 GTX. Plus I helped a friend get...
...a clean white case?
Glossy white, with maybe blue UV fans, would stand out.
How hard would it be to get something like the Gigabyte Aurora in white? Get it sandblasted, painted at an auto shop maybe?
