    Myocardia, Yes.. it is a 2.40B that was and is now back in the socket. I've got no concerns about resetting the BIOS, but from what I'm seeing here, I'm not sure, as you indicate, it is going to change anything. I am not getting an apparent BIOS error. No beeps, no BIOS screen or error...

    No bent or broken pins that I noticed beforehand. I did the "Credit Card routine" up and down the rows criss-cross to get them as straight as possible. I guess I'll go back and give another look at it, but looking at it without a magnifier all the pins seemed good, and the processor went in...
