I've got a 30gig IBM 75GXP ATA/100 HD running on an Abit KT7 (which only supports ATA/66).
I've got it hooked up with an ATA/66 Cable, and it reads as UDMA/66 on boot up. I also enabled DMA under WinME. However, I am experiencing MAJOR performance problems. The computer would completely freeze...
Hey, thanks for all your replies.. I took Elbryn's advice and downloaded the 2048 drivers.. Took me a while to find them because aureal's site is crap. I finally got the file from www.3dsl.com
I removed diamond's drivers and installed these drivers and everything is working perfectly now...
I just put together a new system. It has:
Abit KT7 mobo w/ TBird 800mhz CPU (not o/c)
MX300 sound card
1 PCI NIC
30gig IBM ATA/100 HD
DVD Drive
That's all the components in the system right now. When I installed the soundcard, the system would freeze everytime I try to start an A3D demo...
