I'm going to install linux soon, but was wondering what programs to use inplace of the ones I use in windows. I need ones to replace winamp, wmp, msn?, email client, office suite, cd burning, firewall and virus scanner. Also any other usfull programs would be nice to know about, Thanks.

When i went to turn my computer on today, I could hear everything inside, but i had no picture and it didn't beep at me. I've since unplugged everything and have tried a different/better psu. Next will be the ram, but I wanted to get some other ideas. Thanks

I had it set to boot CDROM first, then SATA. I changed it to boot SATA first and now it works....weird but Thanks :)

I reinstalled WindowsXP tonight and now when I plug my IDE drives in, I get an error saying that ntldr is missing. I went into windows repair console and it shows my sata drive as drive E and one of the IDE drives as C. Just wondering how i would go about fixing this? Thanks

I was organizing my case for better airflow and realized that the stock AMD fan blows down on the processor. I also have a fan on the back of my case right beside my cpu fan and have it blowing out and another fan on the side of my case blowing in. Anyways...I would say that the cpu and rear...

I had to reboot my computer a few mins ago and I got a message saying that boot.ini could not be found. It then said it was going to load C:\Windows, which worked. I checked and boot.ini is actually gone and I'm not sure what it is suppose to look like. So my question is what does a boot.ini...
