Here is the thing though. If I format which I have done before it will start working again. Therefor it isnt the cable. As for checking if dma is enabled I don't know how to do that under windows xp.

My problem is that my buffer keeps droping to zero every few seconds. I am running windows xp with 512mb ram. I have a plextor premium and am using the latest version of nero. I have searched the internet and found nothing. I know that formating my system will fix this problem for a while...
