Just wanted to update this thread. I plugged in the wic cards, and they were detected right away. Absolutely no problems what so ever! Thank you to everyone for all of your input!
I just wanted to put in an update on this thread.
I do have the 2620 non xm version. I have explained my situation to the person that I am purchasing the card from. They have stated that if it does not work, to send it back and I will get a full refund. So I have nothing to loose by trying it...
Cmetz, thank you for your reply.
I assumed that under the hardware compatibility, when it said 2600 (Cisco IOS versions 11.3(4)T, all 12.x) that it would support the 2620's with the 12.4 IOS.
I am nervous about trying them now... :(
These are not in a production network. They are actually for a home lab. Worst case scenario, I have previous IOS versions.
So, they do work, they are just not supported officially by Cisco on the 12.4 IOS, correct?
Thank you for your reply. I have found the wic card on cisco's site, and it does confirm that the wic card is supported for all 12.x IOS releases. CISCO1-PORT T1 DSU/CSU WAN INTERFACE CARD
I am going to order a 1 port dsu/csu wan interface card for my 2620 router w/ 12.4 IOS. In the ebay auction though, it only states that the card is compatible with up to the 12.2(2) ios. Is this really the case or will it work with the 12.4 ios?
Thank you,
itguru
If you are purchasing a router, you might as will purchase one with wireless N. With the further range and faster speeds, it is a purchase that make sense in my opinion. I personally would recommend a linksys. You can get the WRT150N for $69.99 on new egg...
