Trying to build a poverty pc from some spare parts lying around and some cheap stuff from ebay.
specs would be:
2gb ddr3 1333 ram
celeron g530
5850 videocard
160gb hdd
Looking for the best performance what I could possibly get from this poverty pc, should I go with windows xp or win7...
but why?
I built a system with almost identical power today, and everything flys on it!
All the games are playable on it on highest settings.
Re-install your windows for a boost in speed?
its still only 120gb for something around 60quid,
I remember buying my 40gb ,2years ago for 60 as well.
and 120gb is still quite small, Think in a year you will be able to pickup 240gb for around 50?
had poverty celeron g530 for a looong time paired with 6970 , it ran almost any game on medium-high settings but it still had a small lag in everything you do.
£75 later and got i5 3350p with a fresh install of windows, hot damn How everything flys, no lag at all, tested some games on...

was checking these out as well, but after few reviews all they are good for are for booting up windows and loading some common used files, Just plain regular hdd other then that.
Trying to upgrade my whole system and thinking about switching from HDD to SSD, but was wondering would I get any real noticable difference which should be worth spending money on?
currently have this system:
6970 radeon videocard
i5 3350p
some 7200rpm regular poverty 250gb hdd
4gb ram

Also Is it really worth to Upgrade from HDD to SSD?
Now after upgrading cpu will have:
6970 radeon videocard
i5 3350p
some 7200rpm regular 250gb hdd
4gb ram
I had once ssd before 3years. but the speeds were like 170mb/s read and only 35mb/s write , it kinda did increase speed by very small...
