    Eyefinity Vs. 3D

True. FPS has been one of the things that have fallen short in eyefinity. The whole FOV thing being stretched out in most gets kind of annoying. Oh well.

    Eyefinity Vs. 3D

This thread helped me make that decision. And I can't do Nvidia surround because I have an AMD motherboard. SLI isn't compatible without some tweaking I don't want to do.

    Eyefinity Vs. 3D

I plan to have 3 27" monitors all at 1920x1080. I'll get a reference 6950 2GB. I'll add another one when funds are available. No nvidia cards can match the price/performance ratio of a 6950 2GB.

    Eyefinity Vs. 3D

If buying a 55" 3DTV was an option for me, this thread would have never come about.

nVidia does force you to use their tech, but at least it works well. AMD just needs to take a bit more initiative to make sure than the "established standards" are more up to par. As for the 2nd statement. I agree entirely. :sneaky:

    Eyefinity Vs. 3D

If I were to go 3D, I would go with Nvidia, as they are far ahead of AMD as far as that standard goes. AMD forces you to use third party software that doesn't work nearly as well. Since I can't afford three 3d monitors or the graphics power to run that, that option wouldn't be very practical.

    Eyefinity Vs. 3D

I don't NEED to be told which route to take. I'm simply gathering the opinions of others to see what they would do in my particular situation. I just don't see how a single 24" screen in 3d could be as immersive as 81" of real estate surrounding you.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'm going the eyefinity route. =)

    Eyefinity Vs. 3D

I've thought about this as well. If I can find a really cheap 3d 27" open box or something I may buy it. Oh and Eyefinity would only be 5760x1080 unless you're doing a 3x3 array. :P

    Eyefinity Vs. 3D

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Just got done with my first year of college and now I can put a little bit of money towards something a bit more awesome. :awe: I currently have an MSI Twin Frozr II 5850 that I'm looking to get rid of and upgrade. My current monitors are: 1. 27" Asus...
