So is there really much difference? I see various brand SATA 7200 RPM drives for sale on various sites, and they're obviously cheaper than the WD Raptor 10k drives... Is there really a big difference in load times? Are the Raptors "worth" the extra cost? I will be doing 90% gaming...

Thanks to the recommendations from folks here, I got up at 5:00 am and made it to my CompUSA at about 5:15. There was already about 100 people in line, and by the time the doors opened at 6, there was easily 4 times that! I got to the counter behind which they lock up the "expensive" stuff...
