MSI Neo 4 Platinum - USB Delayed Write Failure

I'm running a AMD 3200+ on a MSI Neo 4 Platinum motherboard with Corsair TWINX10243200XL RAM. I'm experiencing problems with an external USB 2.0 harddrive enclosure. I can transfer files under 100MB to this device with no problem, however if I start moving files larger than this I get delayed...
