Guys, With thanks to all you who have read and answered my complains and questions on this mobo, I'm glad to announce that mys system is running smooth for 5 days now, and passed several tests. I just changed my memory modules and my troubles became history. I'm not into OC, so my bios...

You should consider rolling back to 0502 or 0402 bios. It worked for Inspire, and reduced BSODs for me.

hmmm... I just ran memtest booting from it's own disk. Did not know there was any other way to do it. How do I run memtest in Vista x64??? Changing subject: I noticed that in Vista HCL, M2N-E is listed as "premium" for Vista x86, and "Unknown" (for me it means not compatible) for Vista x64...

It's all about voltage. You should check on Corsair web site the voltage needed for your RAM. If it's above 1.95 it will probably don't work. You can try setting (manually on setup) ram voltage to 1.95 and/or lowering ram frequence to 400Mhz.

Been some days since I rolled back my bios to 0502. The BSOD's were reduced for sure, but they are not gone. I'm also getting some few freezes now... lol. The situation is better than it was before, but it's still far from reasonable. I just stablished contact with two guys that have a very...

Just checked on Windows Marketplace Tested Product List (new name microsoft gave for hcl) and guess what: ASUS M2N-E, our dear mobo, is not there! And the list is for XP (they don't have a Vista list yet). There are many Asus Boards, including some AM2 socket boards, but not this beauty.

Take the advice of someone who has been there: do nothing to your hard drive, no login, no recovery try, nothing, and take it to a recovery specialist company/technician... there, they will be able to recover at least 80% of what you lost, but the price will probably get you thinking about the...

First of all, a bios update to 0502 could do some good, but I think it would not have any influence on the startup issue. You should also check your chipset driver version. As it has influence on network, ide, sata and raid controllers, maybe you can gain something here. About MSN Live...

I was using 0701. Rolled back to 0502 and, after a few hours, it seems like the problems were reduced (not ended - I believe they will be gone just when a new official chipset driver for Vista x64 is released). But it is still too soon. I'll post a better analysis by the weekend.

First some info: 1) I just installed this new sound driver, and it seems to be working ok on my Vista x64: ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/misc/audio/ad1988/AD1988_VISTA_61016030.zip 2) Just rolled back to 0502, and no BSOD until now... ok it's just five minutes... I'll let you know in a...

Hmmm... will try that... why not 0502? Wait... just realized I don't have 0402 and it is not available at asus sites. Why do they have all others, including betas, but not 0402? It's almost like they don't want us to get a stable system! Does anyone have an url for 0402? Btw... was...
