    I've heard of people networking two computers by connecting both to a firewire drive. Electronically, there's no reason why it shouldn't work.

    Can't connect my front IEEE cable on my new build

    I also have this problem, unresolved. The trouble is the blocked pin on the Antec cord. The antec cord blocks pin 9, and the motherboard has a gap at pin 8. (Or something like that):
