I'm using the EP45-UD3LR, and I have had this video issue you're referring to. I just updated my system to Ubuntu 9.04 (coincidental), causing the system to reset. It reset but did not display video. I could tell it was booting by noise and it was requiring the use of the 5s override to reset...
