    Gainward 6800GT Dual-DVI for $385 (dropped from $400)

Well, thanks for your opinion, calling me an idiot is really mature. I was trying to say that you just don't understand the position of those who jumped. So, thanks for your opinion, and #$^%$& you too :)

    Gainward 6800GT Dual-DVI for $385 (dropped from $400)

I don't think anyone has a right to criticize those who are unhappy unless they've also got a non-GS and are satisfied. It's easy to just claim we've got sour grapes, but the fact is I wouldn't have jumped if I didn't believe my chances were 95% or very high. And it turns out that little extra...

    Gainward 6800GT Dual-DVI for $385 (dropped from $400)

Umm. No. We're pissed because we were lied to(or at least given misinformation by a legitimate representative). I would've paid 435 for the guaranteed GS at the beginning. I was seriously considering the eVGA for 380. 95% chance at a GS at 380 was too good to pass up. And now, nobody's got...

    Gainward 6800GT Dual-DVI for $385 (dropped from $400)

Yes, I agree Monarch should make more of an effort towards honoring the GS requests. I think it would go a long way towards repairing their damaged reputation if they offered exchange for credit towards GS(at a more reasonable price than $444). Remember it was their agent Rick who...

If it was an honest mistake, what are they selling for $444?

Thanks for the shaft Joe. You can bet that'll be the word of mouth now.

    Gainward 6800GT Dual-DVI for $385 (dropped from $400)

Why am I not surprised? Deep down I knew Hero was right, that the moment they said it wasn't guaranteed it was a scam. But I bit anyway. I knew I wasn't gambling on getting a GT, but rather on whether they try to screw us. Shoulda known better than to bet on an e-tailer's honesty.

    Gainward 6800GT Dual-DVI for $385 (dropped from $400)

It's a description of the GS. Very misleading, why would they advertise a different product on the box for this one? It's like my copy of Dungeon Keeper 2 where the CD case has an advertisement for Shogun: Total War.

    Gainward 6800GT Dual-DVI for $385 (dropped from $400)

The box says tv-dvi-dvi, but I haven't opened it yet. Hoping maybe Monarch'll not take Hero's advice(although I totally agree) and offer to take back the non-GS. I don't think it's unreasonable to take them back and offer credit towards a GS, that is, if their GS were priced reasonably. They...

    Gainward 6800GT Dual-DVI for $385 (dropped from $400)

Yeah, I'd also like to know. Someone on Hardforums was theorizing that maybe the non-GS cards were just the rejects that couldn't get to ultra speeds, in which case we have no chance. Anyone else think it's a little suspicious that MonarchJoe posts here? Some of the more trusting(gullible?)...

    Gainward 6800GT Dual-DVI for $385 (dropped from $400)

One more thing, what exactly is the GS count so far? Just that first one? I know there's a lot of lurkers(like me) who wouldn't post just to brag about getting one, but has ANYONE else gotten a GS? Or perhaps we've all been duped...
