I do have 2 case fans I forgot to mention and I have the same Antec TruePower 380 PS too. Its a Antec sonata (spelling?) case. Its possible my mobo just needed the above mentioned bios update. I have the same exact case on my other computer and it runs about the same temp wise.

Well I took back my CPU and Motherboard back and exchanged the mobo for a Gigabyte K8N Pro. And....problem solved!!!! My temp right now is avgeraging 40c. Do not know if it was CPU or Mobo (probably mobo) but new motherboard works like a charm. I was also having trouble installing XP on the...

Wow my temps are through the roof compared to everybody else. Somebody help me. I just bought a Athlon 64 3000 and a MSI K8N Neo mobo. Right off the bat the CPU temp is at 60C and quickly rises to about 69-70C in a matter of minutes with no heavy load. I don't even have the OS installed yet...
