I posted over on XtremeSystems (takes 24 hours to get an account) so let's hope the guru's of gurus can come up with something. I'll certainly post findings back here.
The memory successfully passed an hour of MemTest86+ (left both sticks in, 0 errors) and I'm going to run some tests now...
Sorry, bear with me - this is the first system I've put together. The only memory settings I have in the BIOS is "Memory Voltage" which is the 1.84 value and I've upped this to the 2.1 and 2.2 as rated by the RAM. What's the divider?
Worth a shot, will take a look there. Thanks EagleRock
... ugh ... registration there is manually controlled. I have to wait for human validation (sigh).
Complete BSOD is:
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps. Check for viruses on your computer. Remove...

I haven't changed voltage either - in the BIOS it said they were running at 1.84 which...
I just set up the hardware for a new system and when the OS starts to load, I'll get the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). A quick google around for "D975XBX2 bsod" reveals many people having similar problems (primarily loading Vista) and their solution was to load the new BIOS (2618). I've done...
