That's Correct, my 6800 (360/760) can handle 16x ansi in all games pretty easy, i play 1024x760 4x antialiasing and 16x ansi by default and it just freezes in d3d games, but now with ansi 8x my freezes are almost gone, that's why i think it's a driver problem, i mean the difference between 16...

I have the same problem, i have a xfx 6800, p4 2.8 with 1g ram. I 've tried almost all the solutions and noticed some improvements but the freezes still happen... and yes only in direct 3d games that's why i really think it's a drivers problem. I guy told-me that all drivers after version 5xx.xx...
