The only way to be sure is to try it out.
I also "worried" about it when assembling my PC, but then was able to get 2x 1Gb sticks - so I never actually tried it out with 4 Dimms.

It was a momentary lapse of reason. At the moment, 1440x960 sounded "right". :)
That's exactly why I'm trying to pass all those "less obvious" resolutions and go straight to 1920x1200 :)
Well, I had already convinced myself my skt939 AGP rig would be left untouched, and to buy a Duo2 system... eventually...
But the x1950xt opens up a whole new horizon to it. I'll just get rid of my old trusted 6800Ultra and change sides to ATI.
Heck, I might even upgrade my A64 3500 for a X2...
Last time I checked, it was well under 30 sec.
Of which, most of it was spent in the BIOS, and initializing the onboard (nvidia) RAID.
From the time it actually get's to load from the HD, it boots in under 10 seconds.
(The "scrolling" blue bar in the bottom just cycles 3 times, and it's on...
