Thanks for the responce......and that 's just what I did I took out the fan, peeled back the label that's in the center and sprayed a little WD40, than put the lable back. All seems to be working good, Thanks

Thanks guys for the help. I cleaned the fan and sprayed WD40 in it. It doen't overheat anymore, but now it keeps blinking "CPU Fan below Threshold".

When I first turn my computer on Asus Probe warns me that "+5V is below low threshold", than it starts warning me that "CPU Fan Below Threshold". It keeps warning me that CPU Fan is Below Threshold, but nothing over heats. Is it possible that it is the power source, and if so how can I check it...

Thanks for replying but... I looked inside of the startup and nothing looks like the popup message. Any other suggestions.

When I start my computer and I'm waiting for my desktop to finish opening up I get this little popup that reads "Can't find LmControl Procedure", and on the bar on top of the popup it reads "AsmiCtrl". Does anyone know what that means or how to fix it. Thanks

I have "Asus Probe v2.23.01" does anyone know if there is an update, or how I can find out. It keeps warning me and warning me nonstop that my CPU fan is Below Threshold, yet my temperature remains at 38c. Do you think updating my probe will fix this? Thank you, Lokey

The probes reading for CPU fan is around 4100. But it has dropped to practically nothing within a second. Could a heatsink cause that?
