For programming, the 1680x1050 resolution is ideal. Wish HP allowed users to choose that or at least the 1440x900 display on the dv6000...

ditto...get the T60...widescreen if possible. The ultranav is just craploads better than touchpads and the keyboard is lots better.

The A8Js also is unfortunately $1500 at least...and is more like $1800 after you add more memory, bluetooth, etc. :-P

If you're getting the WXGA+ version of the travelmate, ignore the pixel doubling comment. I thought you were getting the WSXGA+ (1680x1050 vs. 1440x900) version. Both should be similar speeds.
