Well, it depends on your personal preferences. I would recommend that you go to a local tech store and look at the difference between a 14.1" 1400x1050 screen and a 14.1" 1024x768. If you were to ask me, I would definately say it's worth it...having more screen real-estate is a definate plus...

t40 Batteries should fit the t42. The bay will stay the same, so yes, you will be able to use the ultrabay slim battery. As far as quality goes...we'll see once they release it.
