RGB is analog. Like I said, I was in a similar situation with a Sceptre 46"; it couldn't PIP the HDMI input from the PC over the HDMI input from the DirecTV. It was solved by hooking up the RGB input from the PC. Now, the PC can be PIPed over the DirecTV screen, as well as the reverse.

Your Samsung has an RGB input, right? Hook up your PC with an RGB cable; that should PIP in fine over the HDMI. Sceptre 46" is the same way. Can't really notice the difference between HDMI and RGB, even running 1920x1080, on a 7600GS. Use a good quality, short RGB cable.
