What games do best in SLI?

The Call of Duty games, which have options for enabling dual-card support, (CoD2, CoD4) both do fairly well at SLI. I noticed about a 25% improvement in my fps when running SLI in CoD2.

    [Retired] The LCD Thread

Well it's my birthday today and what gift does my monitor bestow upon me? A row of stuck red pixels near the bottom. I have one of the P-MVA 24" Soyo monitors and after I bought it my dad went out and bought one as well. After only two months his got a stuck row of red pixels near the top...

    COD4 multiplayer

If you're getting kicked off for having the same CD-key than the only way to fix that is to buy a second copy.

    Anyone Holding onto their 8800GT

I upgraded from two 6600GTs to my 8800GT. I won't be upgrading for awhile. Besides, with the majority of PC games being console ports you'll have to wait for the next console generation before most games push graphics beyond what a 8800GT can handle.

    Comparing two gaming laptops...

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew how the P-6831 FX compared to the P-172S FX Gateway has on their site now? As far as I can tell, it's essentially the same but with a smaller HDD and faster CPU.

    Comparing two gaming laptops...

Thanks all. I certainly thought that the better video card was the way to go. But does anyone know how much of a difference the 1 GHz and 4MB cache between the processors make? The extra cache and the included fingerprint scanner are what he keeps talking about with the iBuyPower model.

    Comparing two gaming laptops...

Well to be honest he mostly plays WoW, which I'm sure neither of these machines would have any trouble with. However, he does want to be able to play Portal and CoD4 on it as well.

    Comparing two gaming laptops...

My cousin wants to purchase a laptop for midrange gaming, for under $1500. Right now he's leaning towards the Battalion 101 CZ-8 Ultra Notebook from iBuyPower, while I was trying to convince him to buy the Gateway P-6831FX notebook, which was featured on the main page. The biggest...

    Soyo 24" Topaz now TN's

Oh boy. I went out and bought one of these months ago. When my dad saw it he went out and bought one himself. Well about 2 months ago his developed a horizontal line of stuck red pixels across the top. He dragged his feet getting an RMA number and even has yet to send the monitor away. It...

    Mouse Issue

Well if anyone it wondering I did RMA it to Razer. I found that my old mouse only shared the problem if the Razer mouse was plugged in first. A clean reboot with only my old mouse connected experienced no problems at all; so it most assuredly was the Razer mouse.

Connect Soyo 24 inch topaz to ps3?

If that thing would do scaling I'd buy it myself. The 360 doesn't even have any 16:10 ratio resolutions and the Soyo doesn't have a scaling option other than stretch.

    dual screen problem

If I remember correctly, when I had dual monitors the mouse was free to move over both in a number or strategy games but not first person shooters. I'd say it depends on the game.

    Mouse Issue

I did a system restore to two days before the problem showed up. It was still there. So I undid the system restore and it seemed like the problem went away, but then I restarted and it was back. I don't know.

    Mouse Issue

I bought a refurbished blue Razer Copperhead mouse from Woot.com a little over a week ago. I didn't get it and hook it up until Friday. I'm having a weird issue with my mouse now. Ever since I started using this mouse and installed the new drivers and firmware anytime I click something it...

I will never buy another XFX product

Hmm, I bought an XFX 6600GT that had a failing fan before. I RMA'd it and got a working one in return. Later my cards started giving me some graphical glitches. I swore I'd never buy XFX again but I think that might have been a bit severe. Especially compared to all this.
