believe it or not, my friend with a dv1000 has a similar kind of scraping ... i havent brushed up my v2000 yet, dont know what color will show up ;) atleast your lid is silver and white doesnt look tooo different ... problems with windows :P good for me, i hardly, if ever, use windoze!
