Best 2GB Memory 2x1GB Dual Channel

First off, I have a AMD64 3200 that clocks to 2.7 stable with OCZ rev 2 platinum, *special thanks to Anandtech for the article about this Ram 5 months ago should it to be very good. Anyway, as a musician, I have read conflicting reports, some that say you can put 4x512 modules in a Gigabyte...

Overclocking LAPTOPS? AMD64 vs Intel Centrino

My winchester with 1 GB 2x512 3200 overclocks stable at 2.75 ghz. Which is about FX 5800 without 1 MB cache...or AMD 64 4000. So am curious as to what (if any laptops) overclock well. I know a lot has to do with the bios correct? As well as the motherboard so which motherboards (brand I...

MOBILE Laptops (overclocking) Intel vs AMD?

1st, gaming will be secondary, audio use first and firewire needed on laptop. Wondering if anyone has experience with Celeron M/Pentium M (Centrino) AMD mobile 64 chips and how (which brand) overclocked well?!? There are quite a bit of deals on P4 Centrino but with Intel Intergrated...

Which SATA are locked? Ultra 939 Nforce3

Surely someone knows which SATA ports are locked? I was told once (I think) that it was the nvidia ones (near the AGP)... Please help. Thanks.

Which SATA are locked? Ultra 939 Nforce3

No I am sure that the Gigabyte K8NS Ultra 939 has two (2) locks for SATA? No?

Which SATA are locked? Ultra 939 Nforce3

THanks but the Gigabyte manual gives the following: SATA0_SB/SATA1_SB (near agp) (Nvidia?) SATO0_SII/SATA1_SII (away from agp) (Silicon Interface?) Problem is, if it's the second set (away from AGP) it's not going to work, I get pops and crackles when I record audio.

Which SATA are locked? Ultra 939 Nforce3

Can't remember which are the one's that are locked, one's near the AGP or the one's furthest away. Motherboard Gigabyte AGP, Ultra 939 Nforce3. thank you

    CPU temps with 3000+ winchester

I'm not sure about your RAM, but most of the errors can be attributed to the DDR. Some OCZ will get you stable (TCCD). Also, the .09's like 1.425 volts too, not sure why this is, but I am at 10x270 super pi error free using OCZ rev 2. idel 38-39C. I also have cool and quiet disabled as well...

Is AMD going to be in trouble 2006?

Agreed. I'm seeing the 3200 at 10x275 and up, crushing speeds, and LOW temps (39C) at 1.425 vcore vs my XP 2600 at 60C. My predictions: Intel is behind in the dual core race to some extent, especially with 64 bit chips, however, MSFT delayed 64 bit OS to accomodate INTEL..which is ok, AMD...

SATA Locks on K8NSULTRA (serial HD's)

I'm getting a SATA drive soon (advice?) and wanted to know which ports where locked and which where not? I read in various forums that those closest to the AGP are usally locked, is this true? I also run OCZ Plat. rev 2, 2x512 at 2.5-4-4-10-1T, FSB 270 (OC around 2.7), I can actually get it...

    AMD64 3200 10x275 easy (run idle at 38C), Higher?

I haven't done Prime yet, as I'm do like all the settings/changes it makes to my system. For me, I think Super Pi is good enough (at least 16MB). Still, it's strange, but I talked to OCZ and they told me the DDR OCZ rev. 2 plat is rated for 266 at least, so 10-275 is pushing it a little...

    AMD64 3200 10x275 easy (run idle at 38C), Higher?

I need to clarify....air for me = stock heatsink/fan, maybe for you too, but most of the time it's some sort of vacum cleaner tornado,

    athlon64 3200+ winchester low marks

Yes, what are your memory timings and HT settings as well as multiplier settings. This is the first step. These days the memory (due to the Hypertransport bus) plays a major role in overall performance, and the settings are quite different from the non 64 CPU's
