Problem resolved. Disconnected my usb card reader and xp finally loaded completly. Up and running to a full desk top. The card reader must have confused the install process some how. :)

nOOb question here. Trying to get my DS3 new build clean install to work on a single 200 gig Seagate drive. Everything seemed to be going well. It formated my HD loaded drivers so on and so forth and when it should have loaded the desktop it looped back to SetUp and now wants to do it allover...

Wondering if there's an optimum SATA port for single non RAID drive connection. The MOB book doesn't recomend. I'm trying to build up a new box with a single sata seagate 200 gig drive and everything in the book is orintated towards raid multi drive. Never set up a single sata drive...
Well I tried again and made a nice cd copy of Chopin classical piano music. As best as I can tell it's a mirror of the original. Sounds very good. And I used Windows Media to make the burn. Now that I know how to use it I'll continue to use Windows Media. Thanks for all the help everybody...
I checked the source material I used in media player and it has pops and clicks so I can't blame the burner. I deleted it all and am going to try again..this time I'll shut down my virus checker and zone alarm to free up resorces and see what happens. There seems to be a lot of xpsp2 issues...
Well it's playing back now and so far so good. Bolero is the first track and it sounds good.

I did what you said except I did it in windows media and right clicked each audio secection and it gave me the option to create a "burn list" so after doing all that I clicked "Burn" on windows media and it fist did some kind of "converted" indication and now the drive light on the cdrw is...
Well I tried it and yes the dialog box came up and I clicked "burn to cd using windows media" then the windows media player pops up with my play list and the boxes on the left are checked. I click "start burn" it blinks then nothing happens. No drive activity in the cdrw. :(
Hi everybody!! I upgraded my computer from w 98 se to xp sp2 and now my cdrw doesn't work. It's a Liteon burnproof LTR12101b 12x10x32 drive. It used to work great under w98 se. But under xpsp2 it's not working and it's not showing up in the device manager as a cdrw. Just says "Lite-On...
