Copied and pasted the "rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks" also without change.

Restore wouldn't go back that far, its been a problem for some time now.
Turned off hibernation and defraged the HD. Enabled hibernation and receiver the same error message.

Totally understand.
Have three computers on different, very quiet desks.
This one is behind me and hard drive decides to start up regularly
while my back is too it for no reason and just bugs me as I can't
figure out why!
Now when I need this computer, I just have to touch the mouse...
I had two camera usb cables connected and no flash drives.
The cables were not connected to anything but removed them
anyway with no difference.
Still puzzles me why this doesn't want to hibernate.
Is Re-format the only answer? Is there anyway of re-installing
windows from the installation...
When I leave the computer untouched the monitor and hard drive shuts down according to my power scheme settings.
While working on something else, I notice the hard drive every 10 mins or so will fire up for no reason, then 10 mins or so will shut down.

Stand by works fine but when coming out of hibernation gets a black screen that reads:
The system could not be restarted from its previous location due to a read failure.
Delete restoration data and proceed to system...
Also I have ran SFC /ScanNow successfully with no change.
