    Noob Question

As far as I know, this should be more powerful than the 750, and it's tiny: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127794

    Dell Venue 8 Pro

Tried over wifi, still got the same issue, though it was my neighbor's wifi, which I got permission to use, since I disconnected my home internet due to moving soon.

    Dell Venue 8 Pro

I love this tablet, though you do have a point. I have a Nexus 4, had a Nexus 7, and I find metro to be far more user friendly and intuitive on a tablet than Android.

    Dell Venue 8 Pro

The only changes I can think of that might impact it that I made was enabling DEP for everything. I'm also running on a connection tethered to my phone. Edit: I ran troubleshoot as admin, and it keeps fixing things. Once I reboot, it finds more things to fix. I still can't install apps...

    Dell Venue 8 Pro

Hate to semi-necro a thread, but has anyone had trouble installing metro apps from the Windows store on their Venue Pro 8? I keep getting a variety of errors, a different one every time, usually. I tried doing a ton of googling, changing settings, resetting things, clearing the windows store...

kit Kat users, Flash is back!

Works on Firefox Mobile too. Though it can be slightly finicky.

    Kindle Fire HDX

It may not be an ideal option for you, but why couldn't you have just waited until Cyanogenmod, or a custom ROM comes out for it? As I said, it's far from ideal to have to wait for something to be usable, but other than the software, it's a fine tablet.

Phone tablet with full (x86) Windows compatibility?

http://www.redmondpie.com/you-can-now-run-x86-legacy-windows-apps-on-surface-windows-rt/ As far as I know, most versions of Windows will not run on anything lacking a PCI bus, which phones do, however, you can try installing Windows 8 on an x86 phone. There are ones by Motorola & Asus, as far...

    The official Nexus 5 thread.

Assuming you use TWRP, you can compress the backups. I have about 1.2GB on my phone, minus the music, and a backup is only about 700MB. 58% reduction in size is nothing to scoff at.

Typical battery drain when idle for HTC One S?

Because the OS reads the charge, and it can often be inaccurate compared to how much capacity is really left.

Switched from Opera to Firefox, some functionality confusion

+1 for Secure Login. It mimics Opera's Wand pretty well. You can have it set it so Ctrl+Enter fills out forms & login boxes. Though, I always keep form filling turned off in Opera & FF, so I can't help you with how to keep the form data.

Is 1gb of RAM still enough on Android?

If you have a powerful enough processor, having just 1GB of RAM isn't necessarily a limitation. You can use Z-RAM, if you're using a custom ROM, or custom kernel, which allows you to allocate a portion of memory as a "swap space", and it compresses said allocated memory. With the compression...

Going to T-Mobile, which phone to get?

You can get subsidised phones on T-Mobile. Also, I'd recommend the Nexus 4. It's still a damn good phone, and the cheapest one is $300. Though, given what you listed, I'd go for the Gakaxy S4. Samsung is slightly better about its updates, and it has a microsd slot.

Anyone get those days when you plug in your phone to the computer and nothing happens

When I disabled the mediascanner service through Systemtuner Pro, I noticed I lost connectivity to my phone. When I restarted the service, or ran the media scanner, it popped up on my computer just fine after I dis/reconnected my phone.

PSA: T-Mobile's new unlimited unthrottled 4G plans have a throttle point at 5-7GB.

You need one of the earlier radio firmwares. The latest that could do LTE was .33. Then it's a simple matter of this: http://smartphones.wonderhowto.com/how-to/enable-hidden-4g-lte-feature-your-google-nexus-4-0140450/ And you might need to change your apn.
