Just to hijack a thread, do you think it is worth $50 to jump from a HD4870 512MB to the 1GB version? I can't make up my mind, and I always suffer from buyers remorse no matter what I chose. I like to game at 1900x1200, and as I understand it at higher res the 1GB gives you a little more FPS.

I've got the exact same problem, I wonder if its only limited to AGP based systems.

i expect we will see a dx10 AGP card... might not but i don't see how vendors will ignore the agp market.

Your comp is still pretty good... if you want to ride your current that platform to the end. I say... get an XP 3200+ CPU and a GB of Ram if you don't already have a GB. The video card is still good and I would wait until the next set of video cards coming out this year and skip the current...
