Since the ATi 550 turned out to be not as good as everyone hoped, the search for the holy grail card continues. I ran across the Asus TV/FM card today http://usa.asus.com/products/vga/tvfm/overview.htm and was curious if anyone has tried one of these?
Has anyone else had problems with the sound being significantly lower on the 550 as oppossed to another card? I have a 150-MCE and the 550 in my machine, and the sound is about 25% quieter than the 150. Anyone else notice this, or know a way to fix it? Either bumping the audio up on the 550...
MCE does NOT come with its own decoder. You have to supply a third party one that is compatible with MCE. You can check which decoder MCE is using by running this program:

I have one arriving tomorrow. I also own a HP 150MCE. Something's been wierd at our cable company lately, because we have the same channel on two different numbers. So, once I get it all set up, I'll set MCE to record both channels, and we should be able to compare the two.
