looks decent to me. But I prefer Asus DVD-ROM, newegg has OEM version, pretty quiet and solid. It runs at dma-5 on my asus ide driver, cannot believe it!

Trying to "clone" from one 40g laptop drive to another 30g usb external drive, But Ghost 9.0 won't do it - tried drive copy and making-image-then-restore, but no worky. Any1 knows any software could work for this? It is over usb. TIA.

from my experience, raptor is much faster than old ide (pata) drive. But just so so compared with recent sata drive. Plus raptor is way too NOISY, I would rather keep a quiet samsung sata than the raptor for silence tradeoff.

applied 91% isopropyl alcohol for two days, but the temp still shows 47-52 under normal use (like web browsing and light app). Stand by for a while, temp drops to 42-44c, and quick jump back to 47c when the monitor is trigger. I did find that in another thread people is complaining the same...

all my WD HD end up with high pitched noise after average 1 year around. Simply RMA them. Samsung has 3 years warranty.
