Pretty much true. It has reached a point where if Intel wanted to really do discrete graphics, it is simply easier to buy nvidia or AMD out of petty cash. Nvidia is tempting, as it complements Intel. AMD might get regulatory flack, unless AMD sells ATI alone for cash to fix its financial problems.
