Hey Zapp, I happen to have the exact same problem with the SN68SG2 and the LG GGC-H20L down here, and the crappy nForce sata-controller is our demon :P I've researched the problem a bit myself for a few months, and the easiest solution is to plug the drive into a separate pci(-e)card...
