    This... Check out the reviews of the Carbon on the various gun forums. They are not very positive. I've built two AR15s. One for about $750 (including BUIS, scope, and red dot) and another for about $550 with holo and scope. I'd go into any zombie apocolypse with either of the two builds.

    Change the scanner setting for an account that does not work. Use the IP address instead of the UNC. \\192.168.1.11\Scans (or whatever the IP is) instead of \\userPC-XP\Scans See if that changes anything.
