I can't log into xp to empty the recycle bin so I would have to do it via windows 7 as a secondary drive or to just somehow delete it some other way. Is there no other way than booting windows xp on the machine?

Well I already have the case, hard drive, video card and soon to have a 850 corsair power supply. So all I really have left is the mobo, ram, cpu and other small things so I dont mind to spend a extra for a good motherboard that will be more future proof such as the sata 6gb/s and usb 3.0 ports...

I plan to buy my components within a month or so. I'm not sure i'll be waiting till the end of the summer. I'm also trying to decide on the motherboard for this processor and I would be willing to wait a month if a new better motherboard were coming out soon. I made a topic about it.

I want to clone my hard drive as well. The tricky part is when cloning a hard drive to ssd and having the correct alignment. I'm currently having the same issue and I have a thread open asking about it ATM. Hopefully I get some good answers.
