:o sorry, I should have given more information. What I am doing is using 1 computer as the bridge between my wired network in my house( 3 systems total) and the htpc I built which will have a wireless card up front. THe system does stay up 24/7, So that should not be an issue :D

anyone play with this? I'm using my computer to hook up wirelessly to the front room htpc I'm in the process of building. any thoughts? good/bad? I have one person comment that it like herpes, but worse, but they are of dubious technical skill.

SO I built a front room system on this. I had heard that this board was a piece of shat, but It was $52, had built in tv out , dvd hardware acceleration. This turned out to be an excellent lil board. The Tv out is supported in the bios, supports all tv standards(NTSC Pal etc) Loaded Windows xp...

I would have him check and see which revision of the 850 he has. if it is simply an 850 on the board with the 400mhz fsb, then you'll probable have the original recipe which doesnot offical support a 133/533 bus. if he has the newer model, the 850e, (or the tender roast as it has been called)...

actually I was fine. THe system runs quite well. I wqas impressed witht he fac that the tv out is actually native and wil let a tv be used as a monitor. :DI'm gonna write a review up and give my thoughts.

I thought the g-box were only 400 mhz bus...they fic box supoprts the love of 533 :D
