Thanks for catching that, I found this thread:

It has a list of cases that will fit the 8800 GTX and that lian li isn't on it. I went through all the cases and the coolermaster centurion and the coolermaster wavemaster...
I just realized my old case was actually an antec TX640B, a mini tower. So I guess a mid tower is one up from that and the lian li would have plenty of space?
Thanks guys, I liked my 250 GB seagate as well so I'll probably just go with them again. I guess won't overclock either, but I guess if I do I can always upgrade later. Now all I've got to do is order it all looks like =)
I'm putting together a computer that's DX10 ready and will be able to game in 1900xwhatever resolution for a 24" monitor.
So heres what I've got so far:
Lian Li PC 7b - 79.99$
eVGA Geforce 8800GTX - 649.99$
Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty - 145.99$
OCZ GameXStream 700W PS - 144.99$
Corsair...
I just got the logitech g3 mouse and I'm noticing that it randomly doesn't detect the mouse upon reboot. The fix so far for me is to just replug it in, then it detects it right away. Anyone have any ideas why it's doing this?
Hey guys,
My friend currently has an nvidia SLI system but a program he uses for work is having problems with the graphics cards for some reason and it's costing him a lot of money. So temporarily I recommended he get one good ATI card and one cheap ATI card and to use them in non sli or...
Well I mailed OCZ and they told me to take out the ps connector going to my motherboard (the one that goes next to the vid card, it had fans chained on it as well) and replace it with the vga/hdd one. They also said my 12v rail might be low and that I might want to raise it but I think its ok...
I beat doom 3 using SLI, played maybe 3-4 hours of quake 4 and fear with it too. Morrowind is the only game that has caused any problems that appear to be power related. I'm still waiting on a replay from xfx/ocz... but so far with a single card I've played like 12 hours with no problems.
Well I just played about 4 hours of morrowind just using one card, I left the other one in but didn't activate SLI. No problems the whole time so I'm guessing using both cards morrowind is drawing just a bit too much power... that sound about right?
To twitchee2: I do have a regular 4 pin...
Well on my asus board it doesn't specify ati or nvidia but it sounds like its made for nvidia cards (its called a8n-sli after all). It has a 4 pin molex connector next to the video cards and the manual says it's required to use SLI and that it promotes system stability etc. I just have a regular...
Well... I've only tried SLI in morrowind which is what's giving me problems atm. Would disabling SLI be sufficient or do I have to actually take the other card out?
Hrm.... I'm not using those special dedicated connectors your talking about, the ones that are regular 4 pin molex power connectors and say vga/hdd right? I'm using the PCI express ones that plug into the cards themselves, are you saying I should plug one of the vga/hdd things into the slot on...
Its the 520w powerstream.
I've had no problems with temps so far... cpu temp < 40c under full load, usually around 37-38c under load. MB temp about 30c, video cards hit 60c under max load, idle at around 45c. I have a fan blowing on the vid cards but it does't hit the bottom gpu directrly...
