Not much to say -- gets to the Windows Loading Screen during boot up and then get this BSOD. I've updated to latest drivers but maybe there's something else I'm missing. Unfortunately it's rather sporadic so I can't easily reproduce the BSOD.
I'm a little suspicious of a PCI-E USB 3.0 add-on...
I recently purchased a Foscam fi9810w and it's working fine and dandy. One of the features allows you to turn on/off both a microphone and/or speaker that is built into the camera. There are also 3.5mm jacks for external microphones and speakers if you choose to use them.
Now, I was...
Thanks for all the feedback! I will most likely attempt the upgrade with Clonezilla as I am familiar with it and it meets the two requirements mentioned by corkyg. MacriumReflect looks promising too though so we'll see if I'm feeling adventurous. ;) Thanks again!
Either my search terms were too ambiguous or it's late enough in the evening that I'm not doing it right, but I can't seem to find an answer to my question. A while back I upgraded an HDD to an SSD and I had to jump through a couple of hoops to ensure it was aligned properly.
I just built a...
OK...late to follow up, but better late than never, ya? ;P Disabling USB Legacy Device options prevented my computer from booting; it would actually BSOD. Weird. Anyway, I switched to the 3gb/s controllers and changed the raid configuration to AHCI and the Intel Rapid Storage Technology...
So I attended the San Diego Comic-Con this year with a few friends and we dressed up as villains from Disney animated films. Well, as it turns out the hotel we stay at is hosting a contest for the picture with the most likes in front of their hotel.
Well, we're doing pretty good but still...
Thanks, ericloewe. When I get home tonight I'll disable the USB Device Legacy settings and switch to the Intel 3Gb/s controllers and post my findings. Thanks!
USB Device Legacy is set to "enabled" but I don't think that was a part of it. The drives do still show up as removable even after installing RST.
Just to confirm, my SSD drive would provide better results connected to the Intel controllers (3.0Gb/s) with RST than the current Marvell...
A while back I upgraded my main hard drive to a Crucial M4 SSD and I've enjoyed the speed increase ever since. However, there has been one issue that has been bothering me a little bit that I never gave much attention to because I'd been content with my PC's performance. First, here are the...
Hmm, that could be it. I ended up using the drivers on the DVD that came with the MB. Usually I check online for the latest drivers, but the software was so darn easy this time I couldn't resist. I'll check that when I get home. Thanks for the prompt response! If you or anyone else has any...
The build is working out great and is very snappy. I'll post all the parts later tonight when I'm back home but I was hoping for a quick answer to a question.
I know WEI (Windows Experience Index) scores should be taken with a grain of salt, but I like to use the scores to ensure that nothing...
Picked up the 3570k, went with the GA-Z77-DS3H 1155 board for $59.99 as the price seemed solid for a system that will most likely never be OC'd.
Still trying to find RAM but not really 100% sure what the best bet is. For the next hour, NewEgg has the CORSAIR 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3...
Well, I'll be sure to stop by tomorrow in case they have a special sale going on during their limited hours. I suppose I could/should have just picked them up today just in case, but I'm building these for other people and I had it in my head to get approval first. Spilled milk I suppose.
