I do the same thing. I've tried the method where you put a dab on and just push down and twist a little, but I've always had significantly better results spreading it. I think the trouble I have is bringing the heatsink straight down on to the chip.
It can make a huge difference, but I think it depends a lot on where your computer is. If it's on the floor I don't think it matters too much, but if it's on a desk and has a front fan that sucks it in, it will get nasty very quickly. I once saw one where everything was covered by about a 1/4...
I have a dfi lanparty UT ultra-D mobo and all my other temps are fine but my pwm area is at 45C idle and 51C load. The main problem is I'm not even sure where the pwm area is. I'm not overclocking yet, but I'd like to in the future.
Do not use norton. I work as a tech at a computer shop and I'm constantly fixing norton related issues. Just today I had 3 computers that norton broke.
I've had that TV for a couple years now and this is a great deal. I've never seen a dlp that can match its picture. If you have the space and don't mind that lack of 1080p or 720p you'll be very happy with it. I'd only go dlp if I wanted to play alot of video games on it.
So I had some sort of power surge and when I turned my comp back on it was beeping and halted on a message that said my cpu fan wasn't running. So I cracked it open and not only was it running the bios was detecting its rpm. So then I reset the cmos and that problem went away but when I tried...
I just hooked up a sunbeam rheobus fan controller and then my screen went crazy with rainbow colored fuzz. Then I disconnected it and it works fine again. I'm wondering if maybe my powersupply can't get enough power to my 6800 gt with the rheobus connected. My powersupply is a little below...
I think it depends on the media. Probably 80% of my memorex cds that are more than 4 years old don't work any more regardless of the condition they're in. Some of my other brands are still going after 5+ years though.
I just installled the latest nvidia drivers because one of my games wouldn't work with the ones I had. After installing the game worked fine but now everything looks like crap. Textures look more blurry than usual and I've noticed theres a lot more pop up in farcry than I remember. Even after...
I never got a call I just walked in, and they gave me one off the shelf. I wouldn't wait for a call either, they couldn't even find my pre-pay paperwork.
